EIU StepsUP! Bystander Intervention

 

EIU StepsUP! is a prosocial behavior and bystander intervention training that is based on the nationally recognized program, "StepUP!". The University of Arizona, National Collegiate Athletic Association, and other leading experts developed this program that educates students to be proactive in helping others.

The goals for the training are as follows:

  • Raise awareness of helping behaviors
  • Increase motivation to help
  • Develop skills and confidence when responding to problems or concerns
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of self and others

The Health Education Resource Center offers this training free for students, faculty, and staff at EIU! We offer presentations to residence halls, RSOs, classes, and more!
