Group Guidelines: High School and College
Virtual Group Visits
The Office of Admissions would like to offer high school and colleges the opportunity to connect with us virtually. An Admissions representative will set up a Zoom appointment for you and your students to learn more about EIU. We can provide a 45-minute virtual campus tour, a 15-minute presentation, and end with a Q & A session.
On-Campus Visits
We are excited to offer small groups an admissions presentation and a walking tour of campus. Please read the guidelines below before submitting your group tour application.
- Group tour applications need to be completed a minimum of three weeks in advance so that we can best serve your students.
- Groups must complete the Group Visit Agreement prior to visiting campus.
- Groups must arrive on time. Arriving late will impact your scheduled group visit. Arriving 20 minutes late or more can result in a canceled or abbreviated tour.
- If you need to cancel your group visit, please let us know at your earliest convenience.
- Please note: we cannot accommodate groups that arrive without notice.
- Group size maximum is 50, including students and chaperones. We cannot accommodate groups larger than this size.
- Visit priority will be given to students considering EIU for 2024.

Group Guidelines: Middle School and Elementary School
Thank you for your interest in visiting Eastern Illinois University. At this time, priority will be given to high school and community college-aged groups.
