EIU Tarble Arts Center

Final Fridays & Closing Reception for To Bear the Mark of Time

To Bear the Mark of Time

Friday, January 27, 2023

4:30–6:30pm

Free & open to the public. Refreshments served.

EIU’s Center for the Humanities and the Faculty Development and Innovation Center bring Final Fridays to the Tarble Arts Center! This monthly gathering celebrating creativity, research, teaching, and community engagement will provide an opportunity for you to hear a few Quality Speakers™ from EIU tell us something about their exciting innovations and creative accomplishments in a quick and accessible way: 10 minutes maximum for each speaker. The countdown clock is real!

This month's Quality Speakers™ are Mari Kita (Sociology, Criminology & Anthropology), Christiana Harkulich (Theatre Arts), and Elizabeth Tacke (English) from EIU.

As a finale to the evening, exhibiting artist Armando Guadalupe Cortés will formally close out To Bear the Mark of Time with a performance lecture bringing his sculptural work Retablo to completion.
