EIU Tarble Arts Center

Between Here and Home is an exhibition of works from the Tarble's permanent collection curated entirely by Tarble student staff members. This exhibition explores themes of building a home away from home and interacting with various media to help one feel safe in a new environment. The Tarble's student staff comes from diverse backgrounds, and by cultivating a space that allows them to grow and develop as young adults, Between Here and Home gives them space to do so through direct interaction with and appreciation of the arts. 

The staff at the Tarble has become a small family, spending time together outside of work and keeping in touch once we move on from our college careers. Between Here and Home celebrates the joys and comforts the students have found while working in and around art. 

Displayed concurrently with the EIU Faculty exhibition, Between Here and Home acknowledges those who have helped and continue to help us find our place here.
