Purpose

Students for Socialism at Eastern Illinois University exists to carry out the struggle for socialism inside the United States, the center of world capitalism and imperialism. SFS stands in solidarity with the working-class and oppressed people around the world who are resisting capitalist exploitation and imperialist domination. The purpose of SFS is to cultivate a community of student organizers while promoting socialist values and education. The goal of SFS is to advance socialist policies and build towards a socialist society. Our vision of a fair and just society is one without oppression, racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism, and all other kinds of chauvinism, and we intend to act against these for the health of our community.

SFS is a student affilitate of the Party of Socialism and Liberation
