What is Welcome Weekend?

• We know college is exciting, but also challenging. So we’ve developed a program focused on helping you make a smooth transition to your new life as an EIU Panther.

• Welcome Weekend offers educational and social opportunities for you to learn about community expectations and how you connect to Eastern – opportunities that will provide you with a solid foundation for both personal and academic success.

Do I have to attend?

• Yes, you have to participate!  But with more than 150 activities to choose from, we’re pretty sure there’s something interesting out there for you.  You will be required to participate in events throughout the weekend prior to the first day of classes.  
  

Can family attend?

• No, family and/or guests do not attend.

How do I register?

What if I cannot attend a required event?

• Email the required dates and times you cannot attend with an explanation as to why to prowl@eiu.edu and someone will contact you.
