Authentication Changes for Single Sign On
Beginning May 27th EIU will be migrating authentication to Microsoft’s Entra ID. While this won’t change your password, your Duo MFA requirement, it will include minor changes in the authentication process which are outlined below.
- URL where you enter credentials will now be login.microsoftonline.com
- Your username is now your entire email address. Typing just your netID will not work.
- The first time you authenticate it will require you to enter a personal email address for password reset. If you don't have a personal email address you will need to create one for this purpose.
- Gmail (Google): Google's Gmail is one of the most popular free email services, offering 15 GB of storage and seamless integration with other Google services like Drive, Docs, and Calendar.
- Outlook.com (Microsoft): Microsoft's Outlook.com is another popular choice, known for its focused inbox and multiple app integrations.
- Yahoo! Mail: Yahoo! offers a reliable email service with good storage.
- AOL Mail: AOL is a classic email service with a simple interface.
- Background image has been refreshed.
Once again, your password and Duo MFA information will not change with this modification. If you have questions or need assistance please reach out to the Help Desk at 217-581-HELP.
