Subject: VPN Changes

As EIU continues seeing its VPN targeted by attackers, it is taking additional steps to secure this type of connection. Beginning Dec. 19, modifications will go into effect to the list of which on-campus resources are available by default when connecting via VPN. For a vast majority of our users this will have no impact; we've done our best to analyze current usage to determine which resources need to be available via VPN. Despite those efforts, a few users might find themselves blocked from their campus resource.

If you experience such an issue with your VPN access, please submit a support ticket to support@eiu.edu. Our intention with these changes is not to limit what is accessible via VPN, only to block access to systems that are never accessed via VPN.
