Eastern Illinois University celebrates record career placement rates

(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University (EIU) continues to demonstrate its commitment to student success and life-changing outcomes, reporting a 91.2% overall undergraduate placement rate for employment or graduate school—4.1% higher than the national average.
“This impressive achievement underscores EIU’s mission to provide a transformative educational experience that equips students with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to thrive beyond graduation,” said EIU Director of Career Services Bobbi Kingery.
EIU’s latest career outcomes data highlights the strength of EIU’s quality academic programs and the dedication of its students and faculty.
EIU’s School of Business, housed in the University’s Lumpkin College of Business and Technology, continues to be a standout, with placement rates above 90% across all disciplines: Accountancy (95%), Finance (95%), Management (98%), Management Information Systems (100%), and Marketing (100%).
The School of Technology also reports consistently high success, with all programs surpassing 90% placement rates. In addition, EIU’s World Languages program achieved a 100% placement rate for world language teachers, while the Communication Studies master’s program reported an 86% positive placement rate within three months of graduation.
