EIU earns several top rankings and national distinctions

(Charleston, IL) —  Eastern Illinois University (EIU) continues to earn national attention for its academic excellence, affordability, and student-centered initiatives, with a growing list of fresh 2024–2025 rankings and distinctions highlighting the University’s impact across Illinois, the Midwest, and the nation.

·       Leading the Field in AI & Cybersecurity
EIU has been recognized by MastersInAI.org for its commitment to accessible, high-quality tech education, earning the #9 spot on the 2025 list of the Most Affordable Online Master’s in Cybersecurity. The ranking evaluates tuition, fees, and funding options at nearly 250 universities to spotlight the top 25 programs priced at or below $18,000. EIU’s AI and Cybersecurity online master’s programs also secured Top 10 placements on lists from the Forbes Association and other national ranking organizations, reinforcing EIU’s leadership in preparing graduates for in-demand tech careers.
