EIU's Athletics Hall of Fame Weekend Packed with Events, Night Game at O'Brien Stadium

Eastern Illinois will add five new members to its Athletics Hall of Fame this Saturday during a ceremony surrounding the Panthers 6 p.m. October 7 football game against Tennessee Tech. Entering the Hall of Fame for the Class of 2017 are former student-athletes Zye Boey (Men's Track & Field/Decatur, Ill./MacArthur HS), Cara LeMaster (Women's Soccer/Collinsville, Ill./Collinsville HS), and J.R. Taylor (Football/Decatur, Ill./Mt. Zion HS); former Athletics administrator Dave Kidwell; and friend of Athletics Joe Strohm.
In addition to the induction ceremony, EIU's Hall of Fame Weekend will include the following on-campus events:
Friday - October 6
Women's Soccer vs. Jacksonville State - 3 p.m. (Lakeside Field)
Softball Blue/Gray World Series - 5 p.m. (Williams Field), Fall Schedule
Volleyball vs. Southeast Missouri - 7 p.m. (Lantz Arena)
Saturday - October 7

EIU Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet and Luncheon - 12 p.m. (MLK Union)

Football vs. Tennessee Tech - 6 p.m. (O'Brien Field)
