Graduate Coordinator

Nicholas Robinson HeadshotDr. Nicholas Robinson is a associate professor of Accountancy and Law at EIU, Director of Accountancy, and Coordinator of Graduate Business Studies. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law, earning a certificate in International Taxation specializing in corporate transactions. He also has a law degree from the University of Buffalo, an MBA in Accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in History and Comparative Literature from the College of Wooster. He has worked in the areas of law, finance, real estate, and consulting.
 
At Eastern, Dr. Robinson teaches tax, ethics, and Data-Driven Storytelling. He has led many study abroad programs to Italy.
 
Dr. Robinson has presented his research at national level conferences around the country. It focuses on technology's impact on conventional legal concepts in business and taxation.  He has also published and presented papers on ethics in tax practice.
 
In 2016, after three years at Alfred State College in Alfred, New York, Dr. Robinson joined Eastern's faculty. He assumed the Director of Accountancy and Assistant Chair of Accountancy and Law role in 2017 and since 2023 he has served as the Coordinator of Graduate Business Studies and adviser to Eastern's MBA students.
