EIU Writing Project

Secret Garden

Join us for the EIWP Summer Institute:

Continuing Fully Online!

The Invitational Summer Institute brings together dedicated teachers in cohorts of 10–15 to research, teach, and learn about writing. The Summer Institute provides opportunities for these teachers to celebrate writing and reading across the curriculum at all grade levels, while helping to teach and build a community of peers. Teachers also design and carry out writing and reading inquiry projects to meet the needs of their classrooms, schools, districts, or field.

Activities include writing workshops, teaching demonstrations, small group discussions, inquiry-based research, and celebrating reading and writing for all of the power and potential they possess.

Educators from all disciplines in grades K–16 are invited to attend our EIWP Summer Institute. If you would like to be considered for our Summer Institute, complete the application by clicking the link below.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2025 institute!
