Doudna Fine Arts Center Graduate Assistantships
The Doudna Fine Arts Center is grateful to be able to provide two competitive graduate assistantships. Our graduate assistant students provide invaluable service to the continued success of our center. Each Graduate Student for the 2022-2023 Academic year earned $1,000 a month for 9 months (August 15 – May 15)
Assistant Technical GA (Filled through May 2026)
The Doudna Fine Arts Center Graduate Assistant will be tasked with assisting the day to day activities of the Doudna Fine Arts Center. These duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Director of Operations with the installation, set up, and strike of touring guest artists, and company productions, as well as departmental and community productions.
- Assisting with scheduling the Doudna Crew in coordination with the Director of Operations. Will also manage the day to day activities of the Doudna Crew. These duties will include creating and filing event paperwork, maintaining multiple scheduling and staffing calendars, assisting with the planning of events and productions.
- Assist in setting up and running all video recordings and live streaming of events that take place within Doudna and the School of the Arts.
- Qualifications:
- Candidates must be accepted into an EIU Graduate program.
- Experience in Theatre, Music, and/or Event Management is preferred.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, you will have an average of 8 hours a week in the office and the rest will be scheduled as needed for events and functions.
