The counseling academic & professional honor society Chi Sigma Iota of Eastern Illinois University is hosting a donation drive event to benefit the Children's Advocacy Center located here in Charleston, IL.
What is the Children's Advocacy Center and why should you help fund it???
"The Children’s Advocacy Center is a safe, child-friendly and child-focused place where victimized children and their families can receive needed services. Our goal is to improve the community’s response to children who have been victims of sexual or serious physical abuse."
The CAC works with many local agencies to best assist these families and children, including all major police departments, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, the State’s Attorney’s Office, mental health providers, and local hospitals.
