Educational Internship

The graduate program requires a 14-week practicum (full-time, five days per week) in an educational setting. More than 100 clock hours of therapy experience is typically obtained during the educational internship. All interns are supervised by an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. Interns also participate in mentorship meetings and educational seminars held by the internship coordinator during the semester.

Prerequisites:

• acceptance by the internship site
• completion of all CDS graduate coursework except CDS 5970/5670 and CDS 5980/5680
• a grade of B or better in at least six semester hours of CDS 5900, 5910, 5920 or permission of the department chairperson
