GIS Minor
Geographic Information Systems are an ever expanding tool used in mapping and developing management plans at all levels of environmental management. The GIS minor complements the Environmental Biological Sciences (EVB) degree, as many classes can count towards your EVB electives.
This minor provides students with an integrated program of study that allows them to acquire the fundamentals of current mapping methodologies. With diverse needs for precise, timely acquisition of spatial data, its analysis and cartographic presentation, the curriculum allows students to strengthen their marketability by training them with the fundamental understanding of spatial data analysis using the industry standards for both software and hardware.
