 J Van MeterMy name is Mrs. Janette Van Meter (Mrs. because after 37 years of marriage I have earned the title...LOL!!!). I have a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, a master's degree in Elementary Education, a master's degree in administration, and a specialist in education. I was a National Board Teacher from 2007 -2017. I have been teaching 27 years, 12 years in special education and 15 years as a first-grade teacher. I have taught in three districts, the longest being at Charleston (23 years).

Engaging students during virtual learning is not an easy task, especially for the littles. The teacher has to be entertainer, technological director, behavior specialist, juggler, and educator. I am sure that I am missing other hats that we wear to keep the littles focused
