Employment Opportunity -- Director of Institutional Research and Business Operation (Internal Candidates)
Eastern Illinois University is seeking internal applications for a highly motivated and experienced administrator to serve as the University’s Director of Institutional Research and Business Operation Unit. The Director of Institutional Research & Business Operations reports to the Vice President for Business Affairs and has responsibility for administering all aspects of programs and activities associated with the office of Institutional Research and Business operations.
Duties Include:
- Coordinates research and analyses to inform the University’s decision-making process, support long-range planning and accreditation, and manage campus-wide data collection and archiving.
- Supervises and assists in the development and presentation of reports for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE), Illinois State Legislature forms (ISL), Resource Allocation Management Program (RAMP), AAUP and CUPA.
- Supervise and assist in the support and management of the technological operations for the Business Office and Business affairs to streamline and improve efficiency. This includes working with the campus on Business applications, financial report preparations and data integrity.
- Collaborates with campus constituencies to support, advise and present data and reports on assessment and planning.
- Support and promote a dynamic office environment and encourage staff members’ professional development.
- Serving as liaison with faculty, staff and student users.
- Adherence to the high professional and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- Three years of recent applicable experience with data and research analysis as well as supporting technology for business operations.
- Knowledge of data structures and enterprise systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in related field
- Relevant professional experience in Higher Education
