University Court consists of apartments that combine the benefits of on-campus housing with the comforts of apartment living. You will get the experience of managing your own apartment and renting in a safe environment. Located minutes away from the center of campus, you will still have a short walking distance to and from classes.

How to Sign A Contract for U-Court

1. Check out the qualifications to live in University Court above & find your roommates

2. Fill out this form to get put on the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 Interest List. Once you fill out this form, staff will confirm your eligibility and reach out to you to schedule a tour. 

3. Schedule your appointment to tour and/or sign your contract. Both tours & contract signings are done in person. ALL roommates must be present at the same time for the contract signing.

Fall 2025 Contracting will occur in this order (below are the dates that you will be able to start touring & signing your contract):

        • Returning Residents
          • Same Apartment | January 20-24
          • Different Apartment | January 27-31
        • New Residents
          • Seniors (min. 90 credits) |  February 3-7
          • Juniors (min. 60 credits) | February 10-14
          • Sophomores (min. 30 credits) |  February 17-21

4. Fall 2025/Spring 2026 Assignment Letters will be sent over the summer

5. Wait for Move-In Day

Move In Information

Move-In Dates and Times: 

On-campus students can move in starting Thursday, August 21 at 9 a.m.

All students must pre-register for a move-in date and time.  View the Move-In Page for specific instructions on how to register and other general move-in information including what to bring.

On your arrival date, each resident should report to the dark brown office building located in the center of the parking lot. At check-in, residents will receive their keys.  A picture ID is required to do so this includes a Panther card, driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID. 

Electricity 

The University does not provide electricity. Please contact Ameren at (800) 755-5000 to initiate service. Ameren will ask for the following: 

1) your address  

2) your Social Security number  

3) your state id number or Driver's License number.  

Residents are responsible for notification for disconnection of electricity prior to the time of checkout.

Pets are not allowed except for fish. Service Animals or Emotional Support Animals must be pre-approved and cannot stay in your apartment until approval is granted through the Office of Accessibility and Accommodations.

Utilities:

INCLUDES: High-speed internet, on-demand movie streaming service, sewer service, water allowance of $50, and trash removal.

DOES NOT INCLUDE: Long distance phone calls and electricity from Ameren. All residents of the apartment share equal responsibility for the electric bill and any water overages that may occur. No resident can move in until Ameren has been started.

Services/Amenities: 

24/7 assistance including lock-outs, vacuum equipment rentals, roommate mediations, and an On-Site Pool (Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Optional Meal Plan or Dining Dollars are offered through dining services and are available to get at the Dining Dollar Desk in the Housing office.
