Booth Library is excited to introduce the Family Hub, a dedicated resource designed to support our student parents. We understand the unique challenges of balancing academics with family life, and the Family Hub offers a haven to help you thrive.
- Lactation & Infant Feeding Rooms: Two dedicated lactation rooms provide comfortable and quiet spaces for nursing or feeding. They include gliding rocking chairs, dimmable lamps, electrical outlets, charging ports, and a sink.

How to get access to the Lactation and Infant Feeding Room: For EIU-affiliated patrons, please reserve the space here. For visitors to campus, please request the use of the space at the Circulation desk located on the 3000 level or the LTS desk located on the 4000 level.
- Family Study Room:
A collaborative study room offers parents a space to focus while their little ones play. The space includes a dedicated computer, child-friendly seating, child-friendly activities, and a comfortable atmosphere.

How to get access to the Family Study Room: Patrons MUST be EIU-affiliated to use this space.
- Family-Friendly Study Space: An open study area lets students with young children work in a welcoming environment. The space includes a gated infant/toddler play area, an adjacent computer station, and STEM activity tables.

How to get access to the Family-Friendly Study Space: This space is open to anyone with small children. No reservation is needed.
The library is committed to supporting our students and stakeholders, particularly those who are also caregivers. The Family Hub provides a space where student parents can use library resources while fulfilling their roles as scholars and caregivers.
